Fees

As a guide, initial consultation costs £200 and any follow-up consultations start from £125 depending on the duration of the appointment. These prices are subject to change and we recommend getting in touch for further information.

Following your consultation you may need certain tests (such as blood tests or imaging, for example an X-ray, MRI or CT scan) to help diagnose your condition.

If the test is undertaken by the clinic or hospital, and not by Mr Wijeratna, the fees for those tests will be determined by the clinic or hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately.

If there are any fees that Mr Wijeratna will charge in relation to any of the tests he advises that you have, you will be informed in advance.

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees.

I was seen today by Mr Malin Wijeratna for my frozen shoulder. The procedure was explained very well and in language i could understand no medical jargon. Him self and all of staff where fantastic putting myself at ease all through the procedure also the after care was great I would have no hesitation seeing Mr Wijeratna in the future should it become necessary. Being epileptic and having severe seizures, caused my arm to dislocate an awful lot. I had a consultation with Mr Wijeratna and he was thorough from the word go. He requested I had a MRI arthrogram to ensure he fully understood the extent of my injury. He reassured me throughout and was realistic about the operation. The surgery was a huge success and the aftercare post op was second to none. I have since recommended him to two other colleagues and will recommend him to anyone with similar issues. The combination of Mr Wijeratna's diagnosis and the physio exercises recommended by William-Lewis Rickard (Will) have resolved my right elbow/arm severe pain and discomfort issues without shockwave treatment or an operation. Can't thank them enough! I have waited a month after being signed off to post this review, just to keep an eye on my situation and the great news is I am still pain and discomfort free! I had a Left Total Shoulder Replacement in December 2021 at the Woodthorpe Hospital as an NHS patient. Although I did not meet Mr Wijeratna until the morning of my surgery he still took the time to explain all about the surgery. He was friendly, polite and was able to put you at ease. It is now September and I can honestly say the surgery has been great. I am pain free, have good movement and have been discharged today. I would definitely recommend Mr Wijeratna to anyone who has shoulder problems.
Mr Wijeratna operated on my injured shoulder, the results were excellent. Care was second to none before and after the operation.
Operation on frozen shoulder via keyhole, I was expecting a scar from the keyhole incision and 12 weeks on I have to look for where it is as it's hardly noticeable. Dr Wijeratna explained it would be hard work to get full movement back, which set my expectations and I can now move normally. During the operation I can see what was happening on the screen, which he explained and answered questions before, during and after.
I want to thank Mr wijeratna for the total success of my shoulder replacement for which I will be eternally grateful. I have not had any pain following the operation and I believe the computer navigation used has made this operation so remarkable. It is now a year since the operation and I am able to do anything I want – which was previously impossible and the scar is almost invisible. I should add that I am 82 years old and was very apprehensive when it was first suggested but it has been the best decision that I have made – without doubt' I had complete trust in Mr Wijeratna from the very first consultation.
