• Mr Wijeratna has provided me with holistic care. He has guided me through the treatment options for a painful and debilitating arthritic shoulder. I have great confidence in his skills as a surgeon. Following a complete shoulder replacement the pain and limited movement I have had for a long time is finally going. • The combination of Mr Wijeratna's diagnosis and the physio exercises recommended by William-Lewis Rickard (Will) have resolved my right elbow/arm severe pain and discomfort issues without shockwave treatment or an operation. • I want to thank Mr wijeratna for the total success of my shoulder replacement for which I will be eternally grateful. I have not had any pain following the operation and I believe the computer navigation used has made this operation so remarkable. It is now a year since the operation and I am able to do anything I want – which was previously impossible and the scar is almost invisible. I should add that I am 82 years old and was very apprehensive when it was first suggested but it has been the best decision that I have made – without doubt' I had complete trust in Mr Wijeratna from the very first consultation. I just knew I was in the right hands. The operation has made a new women of me and I send my sincere gratitude to Mr Wijeratna and his team.

• I had a Left Total Shoulder Replacement in December 2021 at the Woodthorpe Hospital as an NHS patient. Although I did not meet Mr Wijeratna until the morning of my surgery he still took the time to explain all about the surgery. He was friendly, polite and was able to put you at ease. It is now September and I can honestly say the surgery has been great. I am pain free, have good movement and have been discharged today. I would definitely recommend Mr Wijeratna to anyone who has shoulder problems.

• I have had both my shoulders replaced by Mr. Wijeratna. Throughout both cases he has been professional and caring. He carried out my operations (one of which was quite complicated) amazingly well. My recovery after each one was trouble free and I am now pain free and am able to carry on my life normally. • What a great specialist- humorous and efficient. My procedure was a total shoulder replacement using the latest computer assisted aids resulting in a total success. Now, a year later, I have totally regained the use of my shoulder and just wish I had seen this specialist years earlier instead of putting up with the pain. • Being epileptic and having severe seizures, caused my arm to dislocate an awful lot. I had a consultation with Mr Wijeratna and he was thorough from the word go. He requested I had a MRI arthrogram to ensure he fully understood the extent of my injury. He reassured me throughout and was realistic about the operation. The surgery was a huge success and the aftercare post op was second to none. I have since recommended him to two other colleagues and will recommend him to anyone with similar issues. I have made a full recovery with no complications and I am so grateful to have had him as my consultant. Thank you again you really have given me the confidence to be able to do the things I once enjoyed without the worry of my shoulder dislocating!
